Getaway

We had an eventful month of birthday, baby shower (we are in the middle of baby frenzy - EVERYONE we know is pregnant!), Thanksgiving, and yes, work.

I decided to take a job back in retail for the holidays...you know, get my feet wet with the whole working thing again. With a good amount of adjustment, we are making it work. We have a wonderful sitter for when we need her, she also watches another baby Addie's age - perfect! I am working at Anthropologie, a store I love. It's fun, creative, and totally not baby for a couple hours of my life. I go in needing a break from it all, and leave grinning because I know I'm about to see this kid I absolutely love!

I got to escape last weekend to Tallahassee for the day. My parents watched Addie 1/2 the day, and Chris took over the rest - sending me text pics of their bike ride to the bike parade & Starbucks. My mission: Birthday & Baby. Desiree turned the big one (I know, I'm next), and the nursery for Crosby is now complete - so fun! This was my getaway. Some much anticipated time to myself driving (I'm thinking the 80's music on the way there was a Godsend as I'm lip syncing to Van Halen) and talking baby strategy with Deisree & Erik.
